10th CICE concludes in Qingdao, highlighting digital innovation, cultural exchange
The 10th China International Copyright Expo (CICE) concluded on Oct 18 after a three-day event in Qingdao. The event attracted over 1,100 enterprises and 57 exhibition groups, setting new records in scale, visitor attendance, and international participation.
During the expo, exhibitors secured numerous orders, partnerships, and media attention with high-quality copyright products and projects. These outcomes highlighted copyright's crucial role in advancing high-quality cultural industries and empowering new business models in the digital era.
The Shandong exhibition zone stood out with vibrant performances, including the lively Haiyang yangko dance, the melodious Jiaodong Dagu, a type of ballad singing with drum accompaniment popular in the Jiaodong Peninsula area, and dazzling Ningjin Acrobatics. The zone also hosted 17 new product launches and over 20 signing ceremonies, boosting regional cultural trade.
Qingdao's display highlighted the city's achievements in copyright-driven industries through interactive and multimedia exhibits. The "digital innovation" section especially attracted attention by merging cutting-edge technology with creative content.
Visitors also experienced a diverse range of specialty products from the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries, such as Indian essential oils, Nepalese tea, and Russian vodka chocolates, enhancing cross-cultural exchange.
Through tradition and technology, the expo demonstrated how "copyright+" pathways — integrating intangible heritage, tourism, and digital creativity — are expanding the influence of copyright and driving industrial innovation.
