Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson recently ended a three-day visit to Qingdao, hailing the "world-class" automation and green technology at Qingdao Port, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group.

Richardson arrived with a delegation to mark the 40th anniversary of the sister-city bond between Long Beach and Qingdao, established in 1985. In addition to touring the port, the mayor attended joint sessions aimed at broadening maritime, trade, and environmental cooperation for the coming decade.
