A conference on China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) local economic and trade cooperation will be held in the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area, also known as SCODA, in Qingdao on July 17 and 18.

The conference aims to strengthen the platform for economic and trade cooperation between Shandong province and SCO member states, contributing SCO's influence to building an open world economy.

Hosted by the People's Government of Shandong Province, the event will focus on inviting relevant provinces, states, trade departments, business associations, and enterprises from SCO member countries, as well as domestic regions actively engaged in economic and trade cooperation with SCO countries, to discuss partnership opportunities.

The conference has confirmed over 300 attendees from 25 countries, including SCO member states, observer states, and dialogue partner countries. It will feature nine main activities, including an opening ceremony, an SCO industrial supply chain conference, the Belarus Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference, and an SCO industrial park alliance working meeting. Additionally, there will be four supporting events like the 2025 Shandong-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Exchange Meeting.

From July 17 to 20, the 2025 SCO International Investment and Trade Expo will be held concurrently in the SCODA. With the theme "Sharing new opportunities, shaping new development", the expo will include five major exhibitions, such as the SCO member states comprehensive exhibition.

The event has attracted exhibitors from 40 countries and regions and gathered over 350 high-quality exhibitors domestically, along with more than 2,700 registered professional buyers, including over 300 from overseas.
