Qingdao brands shine in China's top 500 most valuable brands 2025

Qingdao secured 22 places in the 2025 China 500 Most Valuable Brands report by World Brand Lab, with five brands entering the top 100. These include Haier, Tsingtao Brewery, Hisense, COSMOPlat, and Doublestar Tire.

Haier achieved the third position with a brand value of 573.5 billion yuan ($80.06 billion), bolstered by its leadership in IoT ecosystems, covering areas like smart living, healthcare, and the digital economy. Since the list's debut in 2004, Haier's brand value has increased by over 500 billion yuan. Its subsidiaries, Casarte and Sanyiniao, also earned spots on the list.

Tsingtao Brewery, China's leading beer brand for 122 years, ranked 22nd by integrating smart digital technologies to cater to personalized consumer needs. Subsidiaries such as Laoshan Beer and Hans Beer were also recognized.

Chinese home appliance manufacturer Hisense Group is ranked 83rd with a brand value of 116.7 billion yuan. Through independent innovation and sports marketing, Hisense continues to grow its global brand presence.

As one of the first Chinese companies to expand internationally, Hisense focuses on the global market with a long-term outlook. By emphasizing global localization and independent brand development, it is steadily advancing in the global value chain.

COSMOPlat, Haier's industrial AI platform, excels in smart manufacturing with 45 high-value applications. Doublestar Tire led the tire category as a pioneer in Industry 4.0 and AI-driven production.

The report underscores Qingdao's role in nurturing globally competitive, innovation-driven brands.
