In late June, as the travel market enters the graduation travel season, Qingdao has become a top destination for post-2000s graduates due to its cool climate and fun-filled attractions.

According to data from travel portal Qunar, Qingdao ranks among the top 10 popular graduation travel destinations for June based on hotel bookings.

Visitors can enjoy a picturesque sunset at Xiaomai Island Scenic Area, experience the summer evening breeze under the Chinese parasol trees in the Badaguan area, or take artistic photos against the trending walls of Daxue Road. Qingdao's scenic landscapes perfectly complement the ceremonial nature of graduation trips.

In addition to iconic attractions like Zhanqiao Pier and Badaguan, which are free to visit, various cultural and tourism sites offer exclusive benefits and discounts for graduates. On June 16, Laoshan Mountain Scenic Area announced free admission for recent high school graduates preparing for college entrance exams.

Similarly, the Qingdao Olympic Sailing and Marine Culture Tourist Area has created a captivating oceanic cultural journey for graduates, offering special perks and experiences.

For cultural and tourism sites, creating engaging settings that encourage young individuals to capture moments, share on social media, and celebrate significant life events is crucial in driving tourism consumption.

Thematic trips focusing on human history are particularly appealing to graduates. As a city rich in national historical and cultural significance, Qingdao offers a diverse and enriching travel experience. These unique experiences provide graduates with memorable moments and highly shareable scenes, effectively setting the stage for Qingdao's summer tourism market.
