The 6th Qingdao Multinationals Summit (QMS) will take place from June 18 to 20 in Qingdao, with the theme "Multinationals and China - Connecting the world for win-win cooperation". This year, 102 new participants will be attending for the first time.

Li Yongsha, an official with the Ministry of Commerce, stated that hosting the 6th QMS is a practical measure to promote high-level opening-up and high-quality development. It sends a positive signal to the world that China is continuously expanding its openness and welcoming foreign investment.

Wang Xuekun, director of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, mentioned that the current uncertain external environment poses severe challenges to international investment cooperation. Countries that provide stable policy environments, secure social conditions, and open market environments for multinational companies can become favored investment destinations, stimulating the enthusiasm and vitality of multinational investments.

According to official data, 471 multinational company guests have confirmed their attendance, including 342 from overseas and 129 from domestic companies. Among them, 102 new participants will be attending for the first time, accounting for 22 percent of the total. Companies from 43 countries and regions across six continents have registered for the summit, with emerging market enterprises making up over 50 percent. The summit's network of participants continues to expand.

The summit will feature an opening ceremony, a forum on the high-quality development of multinational companies, three thematic activities, and multiple parallel events covering four major sectors. It will include closed-door meetings focusing on policy interpretation and parallel forums aimed at discussing open cooperation. The summit will also continue to release the Multinational Corporations in China series of research reports.
