Yangjiashanli Cherry Picking Festival in Qingdao kicks off

The 23rd Yangjiashanli Cherry Picking Festival opened on May 8 in the Yangjiashanli rural vitalization demonstration area of Qingdao West Coast New Area.

Yangjiashanli is renowned as a land of cherries with a planting history of over 600 years and a total planting area of over 333 hectares. The soil in the planting area is mainly sandy loam, rich in organic matter, well-ventilated, and slightly acidic, making it ideal for cherry growth.

Jiushanggou village

Jiushanggou village primarily grows local high-quality cherry varieties, with some excellent newly introduced varieties. The village has well-established infrastructure with multiple cherry-picking gardens to choose from.

Huangnixiang village

Huangnixiang village boasts picturesque landscapes with lush greenery and holds a cherry-picking festival annually. The cherry orchards here not only offer beautiful scenery but also feature farmhouse feasts and camping sites. After picking cherries, visitors can enjoy local dishes directly and buy specialty agricultural products like cherry juice and cherry wine.

Dunshang village

The cherries in Dunshang village are naturally grown and free of pollution, with thick flesh and small pits, sweet and juicy. Bright red cherries are scattered among the lush green trees, enticing with their sweet taste and appealing colors.

Mochengan village

Mochengan village enjoys superior natural surroundings, and its cherry fruits are of excellent quality. Cherry orchards cover the mountainsides, bringing beauty to the countryside.
