The new distinctive tourist train "Da He Zhi Nan Hao" was officially launched at CRRC Qingdao Sifang on March 28. Jointly created by CRRC Sifang and China Railway Zhengzhou Bureau Group, the train is tailored to the travel needs of passengers of different age groups.
The train's exterior draws inspiration from the Yellow River, featuring a wave-like pattern along the body of the train. This design uses the technique of colored pottery patterns to convey the surging waves, highlighting the dynamic charm of the Yellow River.
According to Wei Peng, a technical expert at CRRC Sifang, the upgraded tourist train adopts a fully dynamic design with a hotel-style room concept. It has been modified to accommodate older passengers, including updates to infrastructure, compartment layout, sanitary facilities, and special amenities.
The tourist train includes 14 soft sleeper cars of three types, along with a dining car, a multifunctional car, and a work car. The multifunctional car is designed for sightseeing, leisure, and entertainment, offering services such as karaoke, chess, tea tasting, and chatting, allowing passengers to relax during their journey.
As a new landmark in Central Plains tourism, the train integrates technology with services, standards with details, and space with culture. Expected to commence operations in mid-April, this tourist train will provide passengers with a unique travel experience.
