As part of the Confucius Museum's "Confucius Code" international touring program, a unique exhibition blending Chinese traditional aesthetics with digital technology recently opened at Highgate School in London. The exhibition offers local students and teachers an immersive journey into Chinese culture.

The showcase highlights the integration of Chinese cultural heritage with advanced technologies. Featuring high-definition digital screens, artificial intelligence, big data, and interactive installations, it brings traditional Chinese patterns and classical colors from ancient books and cultural relics to life.

By transcending the limitations of conventional museum displays, the exhibition enables visitors to closely explore details of cultural relics through digital presentations and interactive experiences. Participants can also engage with immersive virtual installations that recreate traditional artistic elements, offering a deeper appreciation of the richness and enduring appeal of Chinese civilization.

The event also features interactive quizzes and hands-on technology experiences, attracting enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers. A traditional Chinese clothing experience zone proved especially popular, with many participants trying on traditional attire and taking photos while learning about the cultural meaning behind the garments' patterns and colors. The exhibition further deepened British students' understanding of Chinese culture and allowed them to experience its unique charm firsthand.

The exhibition was jointly organized by the Confucius Museum in Shandong province, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and the Confucius Institute at Queen Mary University of London as part of the 2026 International Chinese Language Day celebrations in the United Kingdom, aiming to promote Chinese culture overseas through digital technologies and cultural exchange.
