The two sides looked back on the 15 years since Qingdao and Regensburg became sister cities in 2009 and reviewed progress in economy, science, energy, healthcare and education.
They agreed to deepen collaboration in vocational training, cultural exchanges and science-park initiatives and to co-host events celebrating the upcoming 20th anniversary of their sister city relations.
The eco-park, the only bilateral government-level demonstration zone between China and Germany, now hosts 65 German or German-speaking companies, including Continental AG, Best Water Technology and Siempelkamp. Qingdao FTZ has introduced tailored incentives for new investors, underscoring its commitment to further strengthening Sino-German economic ties.
