The "Qingdao Premium Enters Hong Kong" industry cooperation negotiation meeting, hosted by the Qingdao-Hong Kong Cooperation Joint Office and organized by the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce, took place in Hong Kong on May 15.
Over 70 representatives from well-known institutions and companies in Hong Kong, such as Yue Hwa Chinese Products and AEI Capital Group, attended.
During the introduction session, Guo Baocun, deputy director of the management committee of the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, or Qingdao FTZ, highlighted the events tagline, "Openness and innovation, share the future with Qingdao FTZ," showcasing the zone's comprehensive achievements.
Three enterprises from the zone, including Qingdao China-German Ecological Park Industrial Development Co Ltd, signed cooperation agreements on-site with Hong Kong companies, focusing on expanding international markets and logistics channels and developing supply chain platforms.
During their visit to Hong Kong, the Qingdao FTZ delegation also visited several Hong Kong institutions and enterprises, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Marine Department and SITC International Holdings Co Ltd to learn and share their experiences in green smart shipping and global supply chain services. Discussions were held to further deepen cooperation initiatives.
Next, the Qingdao FTZ will strengthen economic and trade cooperation with Hong Kong through closer exchange activities and the advancement of project negotiations and collaborations. This is meant to attract more Hong Kong enterprises to Qingdao to invest and share in the new opportunities presented by the city's development, thereby launching a new chapter of cooperation.
