A delegation of over 10 South Korean companies visited the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, or Qingdao FTZ, for inspections on April 24.

The delegation toured facilities such as the China-Japan-Korea Consumer Experience Center, the Qingdao FTZ reception hall, and the Baisheng Cloud Cross-border E-commerce Bonded Warehouse, engaging in trade discussions with several enterprises in the zone.

At the China-Japan-Korea Consumer Experience Center, the delegation explored the new "warehouses and online and offline integration" retail model. At the Qingdao FTZ reception hall, they gained insight into the zone's development history and innovative achievements. During their visit to Baisheng Cloud, the delegation toured the cross-border e-commerce bonded warehouse and received a detailed briefing on cross-border e-commerce business processes.

Multiple purchases were made during trade negotiations, covering categories such as cosmetics, daily necessities, and maternal and child products.

At the subsequent symposium, Guo Baocun, deputy director of the Qingdao FTZ management committee, welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the zone's commitment to enhancing institutional innovation, improving administrative services, and expanding international cooperation opportunities for foreign enterprises, including those from South Korea.

Participants were enthusiastic about the discussions, engaging in lively exchanges with officials on policy details.

The director of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency's Qingdao Korea Trade Center highlighted the strong cooperation between the trade center and the Qingdao FTZ, pledging to deepen collaborative mechanisms and facilitate more practical cooperation initiatives in the future.
