Shandong Airlines launches Xiamen–Bangkok all-cargo route

Shandong Airlines officially launched its Xiamen–Bangkok all-cargo route on July 23, with a Boeing 737-800BCF freighter carrying 18 metric tonnes of machinery and electronics from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The route, operated in partnership with Fujian Wanxiang Modern Logistics, is the first regular all-cargo service from Fujian province to Thailand. It marks another expansion of Shandong Airlines' Southeast Asian cargo network, following its Xiamen–Clark and Xiamen–Cebu routes, both to the Philippines.

The initial schedule is for three flights per week, with each flight carrying around 30 tons of cargo. Outbound shipments consist mainly of machinery, electronics, and consumer goods, while inbound flights bring Thai specialty fruits such as durian.

The partnership between Shandong Airlines and Fujian Wanxiang Modern Logistics combines air cargo capacity with ground services, creating a stable air logistics channel for Fujian enterprises. The new route supports the growing trade between Fujian and ASEAN countries, and strengthens Shandong Airlines' presence in the Southeast Asian cargo market.
