To strengthen cultural ties, the artists association of Linzi district in Zibo city, Shandong province was invited to participate in a cultural exchange event in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, in early October.

The event featured artwork from both Chinese and Russian artists, with Zibo presenting 19 pieces and Nizhny Novgorod displaying 23 works.

A notable attraction was the Cuju painting by a Zibo artist. This painting pays homage to cuju, an ancient Chinese game that is similar to football.

Both China and Russia possess rich cultural legacies, and such exchanges play a crucial role in nurturing friendship between their peoples, said the organizers.
