Shandong, Thuringia host online business promotion event

The province of Shandong recently held a business promotion event via online channels with Thuringia, a state in Germany. 

Government officials, company executives and representatives of trade associations from both sides attended the event to seek cooperation in fields of optical instruments, automobiles and cultural and tourism sectors.

"I hope Shandong companies will seize this opportunity to fully understand the business environment and the latest preferential policies of Thuringia to develop in the German and even European markets," said Lyu Wei, deputy director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce.

"I also hope that high-tech companies in Thuringia can take advantage of Shandong's huge market advantages and introduce advanced concepts, models, and products to Shandong, so as to contribute to the province's high-quality development in Shandong," she added.

Andreas Krey, chairman of the Management of State Development Corporation of Thuringia, said that the online event offers a great opportunity for both sides to facilitate cooperation and expand business ties.

He added that with Shandong entering a new stage of opening up, the two sides enjoy broad cooperation prospects.
