Qingming Festival holiday booms in Tai'an

During the three-day Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, Tai'an welcomed 836,400 visitors across 25 scenic spots. Taishan Mountain alone received 149,200 climbers, while over 200,000 self-drive cars entered the city via expressways.

Spring blossoms stole the show. Feicheng's vast peach orchards turned into a pink dream, drawing crowds of visitors. Other hotspots included Tianyi Lake in Daiyue district, Ningyang's pear flowers, and Dongping's rapeseed fields. A Singapore tour group even made a special trip to Tai'an to enjoy the peach blossoms and Taishan Mountain.

Football fever boosted tourism, too. Leveraging the 2026 CMG Mass Football Invitational Tournament, the city rolled out 69 ticket-stub deals across sightseeing, stays, and shopping — 14 of which remain valid beyond the holiday. These measures have turned sports buzz into spending power. On April 2 alone, visits to Taishan Mountain jumped 80 percent year-on-year.

Culture thrived as well: a public stage at the art center, a folk art exhibition, and a youth art festival drew huge crowds. Dasong Everbright City in Dongping county unlocked a new attraction — 10 super NPCs made their dazzling debut, interacting and posing for photos with visitors. Meanwhile, the scenic road around Dongping Lake was teeming with spring blossoms, attracting a constant flow of self-drive tourists.

The Qingming Festival holiday demonstrated Tai'an's growing capacity to integrate cultural tourism, sports events, and public services. With robust visitor numbers, effective safety measures, and diverse offerings ranging from blossom viewing to football-themed incentives, the city turned seasonal charm into tangible economic and social benefits.
