A group of international students and tourists explored folk culture in Qiujiadian town, Taishan district, Tai'an on Sept 24 to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.

They tried their hands at making mooncakes, puppets of Taishan Shadow Puppetry, and lanterns, and gained deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional event that falls on Sept 29 this year.
