If you are craving delicate desserts, try misandao, a local traditional pastry in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province.
Misandao is a golden-brown square coated with honey ("mi") that has three knife cuts ("san dao"). In contrast to its crusty exterior, misandao tastes soft and sweet inside with a strong sesame fragrance.
