Gu Yanwu (1613 to 1682), born in Kunshan, Jiangshu province, was a great thinker in late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

Gu visited Mount Tai three times in early Qing Dynasty, writing several articles about his travel in Mount Tai.
