(chinadaily.com.cn) | 2025-10-16

The 10th China International Copyright Expo (CICE), the nation's sole comprehensive and international State-level copyright event, opened on Oct 16 in Qingdao, setting a new record with over 1,100 participating organizations.

This year's expo features a massive exhibition area of nearly 50,000 square meters, and lasts for three days until Oct 18. Its core copyright-dedicated hall spans 42,000 sq m, the largest since the event's inception in 2008. With support from central and provincial authorities, the expo has attracted major industry players like Douyin and Tencent, alongside 30 leading Shandong enterprises.

To meet the diverse needs of participating organizations and enterprises, the expo has organized a series of events. In addition to the main expo and the international copyright forum, the program includes nine supporting exchange activities as well as numerous distinctive events.

Popularity-boosting activities include the 4th Qingdao Handicraft Festival Robot Exhibition, intelligent robotics performance competitions, comic art sharing sessions, and other specialized and educational programs. A dedicated roadshow zone has been set up, where provinces and copyright demonstration cities will host 79 sessions involving the sharing of copyright achievements, the signing of project agreements, live demonstrations, and IP promotions. Various exhibition groups will also conduct a diverse array of activities at their respective booths.

The Qingdao Xinhua Bookstore is hosting reader meet-and-greet events featuring the creators of popular IPs. With events running throughout each day, these diverse activities will significantly enhance the appeal and engagement of the copyright expo.

A key highlight of this year's expo is the significant presence of companies specializing in artificial intelligence. These exhibitors are showcasing innovative products that demonstrate extensive AI+ integration across various scenarios, highlighting the growing synergy between cutting-edge technology and the copyright industry.

Serving as a crucial platform for displaying achievements, facilitating trade, and fostering international exchange in the copyright field, the record-breaking scale of this year's CICE in Qingdao marks a significant step forward in promoting the value and global dialogue of intellectual property.
