Young artists from South Korea explore Qingdao's charm
A 29-member delegation of young artists from Incheon Foundation For Arts and Culture, South Korea, visited Qingdao to explore the city's cultural landscape and engage in exchanges with local artists from Aug 5 to 8.
During their stay, the delegation visited cultural landmarks such as the Qingdao Art Museum and Dabaodao Cultural and Leisure Block, immersing themselves in the city's artistic heritage.
They also formed joint exploration teams with Qingdao-based young artists, using sound, video, and photography to document the city's charm. They held group discussions on topics such as the cultural characteristics of both cities and the role of artistic exchanges in strengthening sister-city ties.
"Cultural exchange is an effective way to deepen the friendship between our two cities. IFAC hopes to strengthen communication with the Qingdao Foreign Affairs Office and QFLAC, fostering mutual understanding among young artists and further promoting cultural cooperation," said the head of the Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture.
Qingdao and Incheon established sister-city relations in 1995, and this year marks their 30th anniversary. This youth art exchange was part of the commemorative activities celebrating three decades of friendship.
