The rowing events of the 15th National Games concluded on Nov 11, with Jining athletes giving outstanding performances, contributing two gold medals and one silver to Shandong's tally.

In the men's eight with coxswain final, the Shandong team, including Jining's Su Fuxiang, claimed victory, securing the first rowing gold for Jining at this year's games. The women's eight with coxswain event saw another gold for Shandong, with Jining's Zhang Xuan playing a key role. Additionally, Ma Yule won silver in the men's lightweight single sculls.

These achievements highlight Jining's growing strength in competitive sports. A total of 51 Jining athletes qualified for the finals in 21 sports and 40 events. So far, they have won two golds, one silver, and one bronze medal.

The success can be attributed to Jining's "integration of sports and education" strategy, which emphasizes systematic talent development and a balanced focus on academics and training. This approach has produced a new generation of high-level athletes, marking a new phase of sustained success for Jining in provincial and national competitions.
