Cultural exchange through Confucianism study tour
The recent overseas talent Confucianism study tour camp recently held in Qufu, Jining, East China's Shandong province, served as an innovative platform for intercultural exchanges and cooperation.
It unveiled the 2025 overseas diplomacy project of the Western Returned Scholars Association and injected new impetus into the promotion of Confucian culture and the pooling of global wisdom.
The study tour, centered in Qufu, the birthplace of Confucian culture, offered a series of cultural experiences to 24 overseas experts from Russia, Malaysia, and South Korea. They visited key cultural sites like the Kong Family Mansion, Temple of Confucius, and Confucius Museum, engaging in activities such as observing ancient rituals, appreciating Confucian music and dance, and experiencing traditional Hanfu etiquette. These activities provided a comprehensive understanding of Confucian values like benevolence, righteousness, and propriety.
At the Confucius Research Institute, scholars tried rubbing ancient inscriptions, deepening their appreciation for and increasing their understanding of Chinese culture.
