Jining won two gold, five silver and three bronze medals at the ping pong finals of the 25th Shandong Provincial Sports Meeting which concluded in Rizhao on Aug 29. 

A total of 14 teams consisting of 579 athletes from across the province took part in the ping pong tournament and were divided into six groups according to their ages.

Athletes from Jining gave the 15-day tournament their all, taking first place in the men's team in the first-level A group, and in the women's singles second-level D group; second place in the women's team in the second-level D group; second place in the men's doubles in the first-level A group; second place in the men's singles in the first-level A group; second place in the women's singles in the first-level A group; and second place in the women's singles in the second-level D group.
